Research Topic
For my research topic I am focusing on Princess Diana. I am not sure what my argument is yet because I have not researched it enough. However, I am interested in looking at what ways Diana manipulated the media. Or, how the media manipulated her. I don't know which side I am going to take yet. I have a lot of books on Diana that will be interesting to read and see how different authors view her differently.

Hey Chloe,
I really like taking the idea of how Diana manipulated the media further- its more unique and I feel like you could create a more interesting and substantial argument with that. I know a concern I would have if I were to take this standpoint would be not giving Diana proper credit and respect, but I think you can still write a paper about how she was manipulative while still maintaining that she was an awesome person. For example, you could talk about her obligations as the princess, and her relationship with the royal family (maybe how she used her volunteer work as an escape or something.) Just some ideas! I like your topic a lot. Princess Diana is a very interesting person. Your research question is good except I think you should change it to "How others used her" instead of in what ways. This way it won't sound like a list. Your answer to the question is good. You seem to have a good plan laid out and if you can elaborate well on your bulleted points on your E-poster, you should be good to go. I think another primary source would be great if you could find one. Your outline looks pretty basic and solid, so you should be fine with that. Good luck on your paper and have a great Thanksgiving break :-)
